LA VOZ DE LA POESÍA
cuando mi corazón llora,
el sentimiento aflora
las lágrimas resbalan.

Los ojos aprieto
carraspeo ligero,
las palabras mudas
mudo el pensamiento.

Aspiro en el aire
mis ideas muertas,
mi voz extenuada
mi poesía callada.

Respiro y exhalo
el esfuerzo cede,
por fín salen notas
timbrando mis cuerdas.

The Voice of the Poetry
My voice breaks
when my heart cries,
feelings surface,
tears flow.

I squeeze my eyes shut,
I clear my throat lightly,
the silent words
silence my thoughts.

I breathe in the air
my dead ideas,
my exhausted voice,
my silent poetry.

I breathe in and out,
the effort gives way,
finally notes come out,
ringing my strings.
Éste poema sigue dando de qué hablar, ya que la voz de una alumna mía me la ha grabado en español y en Inglés, para muestra un botón.
